my experience

Two years ago, during the heavy rain in TN, I ended up with a storage area flooded 3 foot deep. I pumped out and dried everything. I had several open cases of rifle and assorted pistol ammo stored near the floor. I wiped off the mud and water and wiped the steel cased ammo with an oil rag. I have shot most of what I had and not a single issue with any ammo the I salvaged.
My conclusion is that the fit of primers and bullet seating is rather water tight to begin with. I have dabbled with sealers in the past using a laquer, but I am not that concerned after the flood experience. Just thought I would share.
